Maver Float Rods by Range
The Abyss and Genesis Pro rods are solid, accessible match rods for anglers building a first proper float fishing setup. The Powerlite SX steps up in build quality for anglers who fish more regularly, while the MV-RXX Carp Waggler is purpose-built for bigger fish on the waggler rather than general match work. The Reality range (Evo and standard Match) rounds things out at a lower price point, and the Reality Match Rod & Reel Combo is worth a look if you need a complete setup in one go rather than piecing it together.
Why Buy Maver Rods From Fisherman's Friend
We check what we stock rather than just listing whatever's on a supplier's sheet, so if you're not sure whether the Abyss or the Powerlite SX suits how you fish, our team can talk you through the difference before you buy. That's the same approach we've taken to everything we've stocked since opening as the local angling shop in Bearwood in the early 1980s.
